An old Ikea horse from my bookshelf.
Wonderful entry this week! Thanks so much for playing!! 🙂
I have that Ikea horse too!
haha 🙂 nice. i had it for some years but like it a lot. 🙂
Really great entry…you are looking wonderful in orange 🙂 😀 I think it’s not my color 😉 🙂
Thanks. I like the color. I actually enhanced the colors a little because I´m so white during the winter that I looked grey as ash compared to the beige wall (so don´t feel bad, I don´t look this good either, it´s just lightroom. ;))
Haha..No I’m not feeling bad…it will be childish. 😉 I was just trying to skip your challenge 😛 and please don’t give a excuse for looking pretty 😉 🙂
haha. well. is it an excuse if it´s true? Maybe. good. you have good confidence then I guess.:)
It’s just not the domain for which I feel bad…I’m ”happy” with myself 🙂 I also take this opportunity to invite you to this week’s challenge – http://processingthelife.com/2014/02/16/happy-post-challenge-children/
Ok. Is this challenge yours or? I´ve seen that you posted those before.
Yes, this is my challenge 🙂 😀
ok. don´t have any kids to put up there. In sweden you have to have the parents permission to take photos and publish photos of children. But the challenge change I guess?
So you Swedes really do shop at Ikea! [grin]
haha. we really do! 🙂
Nice collection. I love orange!
Thanks. I do to. 🙂

Hej
love the wee horse but the self portraits are terrific
Yes, the Ikea horse is a good one. it is a copy of a famous concept we have here in Sweden, the dalahorse which is a wooden (very expensive horse) from the county Dalarna. These horses are painted in a very specific way, we call it allmoge-painting and it translates peasantry- painting from the old days. They are traditionally red and you find lots of pictures if you google dalahäst and then go for pictures. Nice to see you visiting my blog! hope to see you soon.
Can I ask is there a reason they are traditionally red ? And then…is there a reason this one is orange ?
Well. Red is the traditional allmoge color and a long. time ago there where basically only this color to paint the house with. Houses in Sweden is traditionally red. But not entirely sure. The Ikea horse is just a modern interpretation, you see it has a piercing and a tatoo 🙂
I never knew houses in Sweden were tradionally red…how cool. I love its tattoo
Yes. Well. From the beginning they probably was brown or unpainted, but then we found the red color som hundreds years ago and wuhuu. We wen´t a little crazy with it. Red houses with white window frames and corners are our speciality. 🙂
