Portraits and a swamp.

Continuing learning portrait photography and especially taking my own, I headed out for a walk to find a spot today. I probably took me an hour to find one, you might think it isn´t that hard, but eventually after heading through a marshland of mud close to home I found myself in the center of some birches. And birches makes great photo background! After shooting probably 200 photos it got dark. In the heat of the moment when shifting space I dropped my self-timer and hade to run around like a crazy person to find it again. Eventually got some nice potential photos for my ongoing project as well, so it was a totally okay shoot. Now back home enjoying Sunday evening with some episodes of Reckless. Selfportrait- the forest

Taking a self portrait is more difficult than you can imagine. I take mine with a self – timer, wireless. The timing is crucial. In this post I want to show some photos I took yesterday. Have been practicing different styles all weekend. Saturday I did the out of focus portraits and Sunday I tried getting full focus and perfect sharpness. I succeed in some and in some not so much. It is hard telling when you are out if you have gotten that perfect shot or not, it isn´t until later when home again your realize that 90% of all photos lack something like focus, sharpness or are to light or dark etc. But it is a challenge that I love. I´m still blushing, can´t get the fact that a child on the other side of the world drew a portrait of me! It is such a honor. When I found it in my normal blogstream this morning I just took the computer and hugged it. It´s so God damn beautiful and I love it. Thank you so very much Gustavo Caballero and Estela Caballero, blogger with the blog 4utu. This is me in the eyes and pen of Gustavo and what I think is the photos of Estela! 🙂 And the process. The funny thing about art is that it is subjective, but when I saw this kids drawing of Rihanna, I just knew- It was me in the form om Rihanna! Apparently my love where shown through my comment and Gustavo drew my picture. This is going to be the best profile pic ever. Testar mitt fasta 50 mm objektiv, f 1,8  med min nya kamera Canon EOS 5D Mark 3. Värt att nämna är att jag fotade på auto-allt. Fotoredigering i Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5. Linsen funkar finfint och grym kvalité för priset, runt 800 kr. Testing my new lens, 50mm f1,8 with my new camera Canon EOS 5D Mark 3. Worth mentioning is that I used auto-everything. Editing in Photoshop Lightroom 5. The lens works nicely and has a awesome quality for the price, about 800SEK. Katarina
