Go to the post and look at a collection of all photos from my Lima visit. Terrence is a professional photographer, working at different projects. He runs the blog Terrence Jones- A guy with a camera as a side project. Take a look at his blog and projects while your at it! Katarina   Lima, “she stunned me.” by Katarina Wohlfahrt.  A few weeks ago I came across Katarina’s blog, which is a very nice mix of writing and photography. After spending quite some time on her blog I asked her whether she would be interested in doing a guest post and she agreed. So enjoy her story of Lima – and don’t forget to check out her blog. — TSJ It is interesting how hard it is to be a photographer sometimes. I mean, when it comes to choosing among the photos you have taken. Most times I just bring them all.   Terence, or for you who know him as “a guy with a camera”, asked me if I couldn´t do a guestpost on his …

On the hunt for grey filters (ND-filters) for my camera.

I´ve been out trying some night or late evening photography to do some long shutter speed lanscape photography. It started by midsummer, the Swedish holiday, when I read about it in some camera magazines. Yesterday I went for a walk and brought the tripod. It was around 22.00 in the evening and later. The problem in Sweden is not just the mosquitos, yesterday I couldn´t wait by the camera by that reason so the result weren´t so many photos with long shutterspead (need to get some photo-clothing as well..), but also that it is to light outside. It isn´t possible to use as long shutterspeed as I want to. The solution, so I´ve heard is grey filters/ or ND-filter. Now to the problem- there is so many to choose from. There is different brands as well as different types. Some you mount directly on to the lens and others you add a holder and place a filter that isn´t round but square shaped. I get frustrated about Whats the difference for me as a user? Which …

New camera equipment- A vintagelooking camera bag.

Bought some new camera equipment on aliexpress.com after getting back from Lima. For you who deosn´t know, Aliexpress is a good place to look into for weird and cheap stuff. Since I was a broke student some weeks ago (still is) it was a good alternative to buy camera equipment that otherwise, I am sad to say, is very expensive in Sweden. This vintage looking camera bag arrived during the week and I´m waiting for some other equipment to come soon. This bag doesn´t look very big but both my work lap top fits into it along with my Canon 5D Mark iii, as well as one lens. There is also two side pockets and one on the back where I keep my phones as well have easy access to my wallet. I have decided to carry my 50mm (cheap) Canon lens with me to work and wherever I go so I can take all these spontaneous photos that I love to take.. 🙂 During my three months in Lima, I carried around everything in …

Next week a lot of Swedes take their summer leave so with this picture I want to say, happy vacation everybody! Katarina Canon 5D Mark iii, 24-105 mm Canon lens, ed Lightroom, model- my mother.
